Having just won an Academy Award playing stuntman, Brad Pitt is going full action man as he’s teaming up with David Leitch for assassin action thriller Bullet Train.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bullet Train (based on a popular Japanese book Maria Beetle by Kotaro Isaka) centres on a group of hitmen and assassins with conflicted motives on a train in Tokyo with Pitt set to play an American hitman named Ladybug.
It’s been described as Speed meets Non-Stop. Hopefully, this will be like John Wick on a train. However, the good thing about this film is it will be a contained thriller, and it’ll be easier for Sony to keep an eye on the health of the cast and crew during production.
It’s smart to say; we’ll have to wait and see as if they want to film in the States they’ll have to wait until the pandemic is dropping after the countries recent second spike.
It seems to be the perfect project for the Oscar winner as Deadpool 2, John Wick, Hobbs & Shaw and Atomic Blonde helmer Leitch will get the best out of him went it comes to the action.
The studio will be hoping to get this film shooting this Autumn with Antoine Fuqua, who originally developed the project, will be producing alongside Leitch and Kelly McCormick via their 87 North banner.
