The Batman filmmaker Matt Reeves has secured his long term future with Warner Bros having inked a multi-year TV deal with WB’s Television Group.
According to Variety, Reeves and his 6th & Idaho production company will encompass all platform, including broadcast, cable and WarnerMedia’s flagship streaming service, HBO Max.
6th & Idaho will be working and producing via plenty of WB’s TV association depending on the platform. Warner Bros. International Television Distribution will distribute the production studios shows to the global marketplace.
It was only a couple of years ago that Reeves signed an overall TV deal with 20th Century Fox Television, but I guess the moment Disney bought Fox and Reeves directing The Batman that he’d want to keep the partnership going.
Meanwhile, 6th & Idaho is currently under a first-look film deal with Netflix, but I won’t be surprised if that joins WB in the near future.
When the news broke, fans got excited due to his connection with Batman that there might be a Batman Universe built on both on the big screen and HBO Max.

However, this is small picture as he has produced different genres with the most recent being Netflix’s Away and Tales From The Loop from Amazon. He’s also co-created hit series Felicity with J.J. Abrams.
