After years of work on the script and pre-production, Matt Reeves has finally begun filming on The Batman.
The filmmaker posted a simple look at the first day’s slate with his DP Craig Fraser (Rogue One) and let us get nerdy for a minute. This tweet shows they were working on scene 17 and was placed on a lovely leather chair.
Begging the question if they were shooting in Wayne Manor or the fact Jeffrey Wright retweeted we’re maybe in Commissioner Jim Gordon’s office at the GCPD?
This builds on the excitement this film has as everything coming from it from Reeves’ plan to create a detective, noir based Batman movie. Then add what Colin Farrell, who’s playing the Penguin, spoke about the script saying Reeves has written “a really beautiful, dark, moving script, really gorgeous.”
Honestly, we could be in the potential of one of the greatest comic book movies ever joining the likes of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight.
Now it’s possible whenever we get the first official look at Robert Pattinson’s Batman and the other cast members in costume will be Reeves’ Twitter as well as the official logo hinted in the photo.
The Batman will be swinging into theatres on June 25, 2021.
