After being the surprise breakout star of the Summer’s The Suicide Squad, Daniela Melchior (who played Ratcatcher in the DC movie) is in talks to join the “family” in the 10th Fast and Furious.
According to The Wrap, details regarding who the Portuguese actress will play is being kept under wraps, but she will be the second new cast member to join the franchise alongside her fellow DC star Jason Momoa, who is potentially the villain in Fast 10, not the official title.
The final outing of the series will see Vin Diesel bringing back Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Sung Kang, with Justin Lin returning to direct his sixth outing of this property.
With so few members of the “family” returning, it’s looking like Melchior will be helping Dom Toretto succeed in his mission, and while I’d loved to have seen what the 25-year-old could’ve done as a villain alongside Momoa, she’s going to be great in the hero role.
This addition makes Melchior’s CV getting more and more impressive because, as well as The Suicide Squad, she was the Portuguese voice of Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and we’ll next see her on our screens in Assassin Club with Henry Golding, Sam Neill and Noomi Rapace.
