This weekend could be one of the best, most exciting Pay-Per-View weekends in WWE with both NXT: TakeOver – War Games 3 and Survivor Series.
For the NXT talent, it’s going to be long but there’s a real chance they’ll leave with an impact not only for NXT but for their careers.
I’m solely focusing on War Games 3 in this preview and predictions as a lot will factor into what might happen the following day. Without further ado, here is The Bear Cave’s preview and predictions for NXT: TakeOver – War Games 3.

NXT Championship No.1 Contender Match – Pete Dunne vs Damian Priest vs Killian Dane
The winner of this match won’t be waiting long for his opportunity as they’ll challenge Adam Cole at Survivor Series. While both Priest and Dane are fantastic talents and will be on full display and we could see them in the mix for the North American title, the focus should be on Dunne.
Dunne is the longest-reigning WWE champion is 30 years with some incredible matches along the way and is seen as the future of the company. These factors show he deserves this opportunity to involved in the first NXT title match to be apart of a major WWE PPV.
Additionally, Dunne vs Cole is simply the better match.
Winner – Pete Dunne

Finn Balor vs Matt Riddle
Balor returned to NXT for a rebrand and executed his heel turn fantastically and has since been on a roll, which is why on his first match back in NXT, let alone TakeOver match, Balor isn’t losing.
This match was originally meant to be for Johnny Gargano, but Riddle will look great in defeat and there’s no shame in losing to the first-ever Universal champion.
However, Balor needs the win more to continue his build and towards an epic clash against Gargano.
Winner – Finn Balor

Men’s War Games – Undisputed Era vs Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee Dominik Dijakovic & TBA.
The question going into the match is, who’s going to be the fourth member of Team Ciampa and I can see it being two people, either Velveteen Dream is healthy to return or, with NXT UK women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray in the Women’s match, Big Boi Walter will bring his NXT UK Men’s title into War Games.

Whoever the fourth member is, I don’t think it’ll matter as UE is the only real faction in WWE and will all of them involved at Survivor Series, Cole in the title match and the others in Champion vs Champion vs Champion matches, it wouldn’t make sense for them to lose.
Additionally, Undisputed Era is a strong team and know the War Games structure all too well. So either Lee or Dijakovic will get pinned by Cole.
Winner – Undisputed Era

Women’s War Games – Shayna Baszler, Kay Lee Ray, Io Shirai & Bianca Belair vs Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Mia Yim & Tegan Nox.
I have no doubt this will the main event the show being the first-ever women’s war games and it should as this will easily steal the show and possibly the weekend.
Picking a team to win is hard as the case could be made for both. However, with UE winning the men’s, I can’t see it being a double heel win and also Ripley is a star on the mega rise right now.
So for that reason and that Ripley is more and more likely taking the NXT Women’s title from Baszler and the Aussie can go into the women’s survivor series match the following day as a winning leader is all the build she needs.

However, the match won’t be without injuries and will affect the former NXT UK women’s champion’s choices going into Sunday.
Winner – Team Ripley
