San Diego Comic-Con 2019 begins today (Thursday 18th) and while there are some things to look forward to, but it safe to say the excitement of this year’s con is not truly there.
A large reason is because of the major studios like Sony, Universal and especially Warner Bros are their DC properties aren’t taking part this year. However, this leads all the excitement and entertainment press’ eyes on Marvel Studios’ Hall H presentation on Saturday.
“Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige and surprise panellists provide an inside look at the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe” is stated on SDCC’s official website.
Feige will have 90 minutes to unveil the new era of the MCU with a new slate and I seriously suspect will reveal casting of The Eternals, similar to when Brie Larson came out in 2016 as the cast of Captain Marvel.

From this moment, is pure speculation and educated guesses for a slate between 2020 and 2023.
The panel will likely start with Feige thanking fans for all their support and making Endgame such a huge success and then directors the Russo’s come out to massive applause from the Hall H crowd.
Following up would be Feige outline his and Marvels plans moving forward into a new era of Marvel films on the big screen without the likes of Iron Man and Steve Rogers Captain America.
Throughout the presentation mention words like secret and wars hinting towards the next big MCU event.
Firstly, as it’s the first film of the new era/phase 4 and Marvel’s first film in 2020, we’ll get an official logo and the first official images of Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff followed by Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Rachel Weisz, Ray Winstone and O-T Fagbenle and the unveiling of their characters.

This will be followed by a video message for Hall H from Johansson and director Cate Shortland talking about the film with some exclusive BTS footage to get fans excited.
I would say a there’s a chance for a short teaser trailer but I’m going to play it safe and think they’ll have more time and reveal it at D23 in August.
Following up will be an appearance by The Eternals filmmaker Chloe Zhao and they both talk about the property (for those who have no one apart from reading pieces on google like me) and the film and they cast the room if there want to me some of her cast.

While losing their shit, Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Salma Hayek and Kumail Nanjiani and one more big star that the US trades didn’t report on.
Then they’ll all smile, wave and say they’ve got a movie to shot and we’ll see you next year.
The next property being mentioned will be Shang-Chi and I think will get the biggest cheer of the panel so far and Feige will introduce the director Destin Daniel Cretton and they talk about the project.

I’m sure this would be the moment to reveal who will be Shang-Chi and there is a chance it could happen, but at the moment I still think they’re looking at actors.
Shang-Chi will either kick-off 2021, similar to Black Panther and Captain Marvel, with a February/March release or it’s possible it could kick-off the summer in May.
If they did have it as a summer blockbuster, it leaves the door open for the return of the king as February is saved for Black Panther 2. Then a November date is saved for Doctor Strange 2.

The Marvel Studios chief and talk about how 2022 will be a big year as we go comic once again starting with Captain Marvel 2.
Similar to Black Panther 2, the studio returns to March following the success of the first film and confirm Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck will return or a new filmmaker will bring their style to the movie.

Feige can then talk about the last we saw Spider-Man, Mysterio revealed his true identity and now he’s been hunted in New York all while studying for his ACT’s and it’ll be Jon Watts’ final Spidey movie as Peter Parker is soon to be leaving high school.
This will be followed up with Spider-Man 3 will have a summer release.

To close 2022, we’ll be back in space and will our favourite Guardians and then James Gunn walks out to the biggest cheer and applause of, not only this presentation but of the whole Hall H weekend.
We then hear about how from Gunn about how wonderful it is to be back, what he’s got in store for the Guardians in volume three and honoured he is to close of his trilogy.

Finally, in 2023 Feige teases about how fantastic this year will be with Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi returning for Thor 4 in the summer.
Then two brand new properties will be revealed with the final one beginning with Feige making some sort of speech and then leaves the room as a video plays as a filmmaker (say Peyton Reed for this argument) talks about this property and it ends with them saying.
“It’s great to finally welcome these characters home and bringing the Fantastic Four into the MCU.”

The crowd loses there shit once again, the video is released online at the same time and Marvel, Feige, Fantastic Four dominates the whole Comic-Con weekend and the rest of the entertainment news for the following days.
Again, these are my educated guesses and hopes, but I think this is as possible as other predictions.
