It’s the greatest show on earth, the grandest stage of them all Wrestlemania is finally here hosted by Alexia Bliss.

This year’s show is set to last forever as we have 16 matches to watch with three on the kick-off show and the other 13 on the main card and I have the biggest respect for everyone watching live both in New York and at home across the world because everyone will be knackered.
Anyway, let’s get on with the preview and predictions and the following list will be how I see the card will be listed. We know the three matches in the kick-off show and the main event.
Kick-Off Show

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale
In its sixth consecutive year, this battle royale has meant less and less as the year’s go by. At the end of the day, this is just a way for the wrestlers to have something to do, but if I was tag teams like The Hardyz, Gallows and Anderson and Gable and Roode I would be disappointed not to be involved in some way with the Raw and Smackdown tag titles.
This could be Gallows and Anderson’s final WWE appearance as I could see them leaving.
As for the match itself, I’d love to see EC3 or Andrade win, but because this is meaningless it’s either going to be Braun Strowman or Saturday Night Live’s Michael Che and Colin Jost and my money’s on the SNL duo in some way.
Prediction – Michael Che and Colin Jost Wins Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale

Cruiserweight Championship – Buddy Murphy (c) vs Tony Nese
Sadly because not many wrestling fans actually watch the 205 Live/cruiserweight brand and add they’ll watch the kick-off not many eyes on this match.
I sadly because whenever the cruiserweight title has been on the main show of PPV’s it’s a great match and Murphy has been a great champion and now he faces his buddy, Nese.
Because I think we’re going to have multiple title changes throughout the main show and Aussie Murphy has been fantastic champion and leader of the cruiserweights, which is why I think he’ll retain.
Prediction – Buddy Murphy Wins Retaining The Cruiserweight Championship

Women’s Battle Royal
The final match of the kick-off show and because there’s no Smackdown Women’s title match all the women have been thrown into a battle royal after it was introduced last year with Naomi the inaugural winner.
This match as Asuka winning all over it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Mandy Rose or Sonya Deville pick up the victory.
I’m more excited by the NXT and NXT UK stars showing up like Women’s UK champ Toni Storm, Jinny, Kacy Catanzaro, Mia Yim and Rhea Ripley along some others.
I’d honestly love Ripley win as I think she could the next big thing in the women’s division and even though this battle royal is similarly as pointless as the Andre the Giant, but an NXT or NXT UK star to win would be the sigh of the future.
Prediction – Asuka Wins The Women’s Battle Royal
Main Show

Women’s Tag Team Championship – Sasha Banks & Bayley (c) vs Beth Phoenix & Natalya vs Nia Jax & Tamina Snuka vs The IIconics
If the women are ending the show, then they should start the show.
This match has two winners for me as I can’t see Phoenix and Natalya and Nia and Tamina winning.
If all goes down to what the main event finish will be and if it’s the way I think they might do then Sasha and Bayley will leave MetLife stadium retaining the belts then though I’d love to see what The IIconics’ Billie Kay and Peyton Royce would do with them.
Plus the title is still fresh was why not have Sasha and Bayley hold them for a long time.
Prediction – Sasha Banks and Bayley Win Retaining The Women’s Tag Team Championship

The Miz vs Shane McMahon (Falls Count Anywhere)
I was thinking about this match kicking off Wrestlemania, but the women’s tag would be a better story. Plus I don’t think anyone gives a rat’s arse about this feud.
All I want is to see this end and we can all move on as we watch Shane O’Mac jump off something and let Miz win.
Prediction – The Miz Wins

United States Championship – Samoa Joe (c) vs Rey Mysterio
Mysterio got injured during this Monday’s Raw and question marks are around if he’ll even compete in the match.
If not then I can see Kevin Owens or Mustafa Ali or maybe a surprise returning Sami Zayn?
It won’t matter who’s Joe’s opponent on the night as I can’t see him lose the US title yet in a match I’m hoping to be pretty good.
Prediction – Samoa Joe Win Retaining The United States Championship

SmackDown Tag Team Championship – The Usos (c) vs Aleister Black & Ricochet vs The Bar vs Rusev & Shinsuke Nakamura
This match was thrown together on Smackdown this week but this could be a fun match as you’ve got some incredible wrestlers in the ring.
However, I can’t see Black and Ricochet winning as they’ll hopefully split up the night or two later and they’re already in a tag match at Takeover.
If anything this match will be used to build a feud between The Usos and Rusev & Nakamura.
Prediction – The Usos Win Retaining The SmackDown Tag Team Championship

Kurt Angle vs Baron Corbin (Farewell Match)
This will be Angle’s last match in a WWE ring and possibly any ring and it’s pretty shit this opponent is Corbin before he bids farewell or is it?
I truly hope this is a quick match with Angle winning and John Cena comes out asking him if that’s how the Olympic gold medalist wanted to end his career and give him some ruthless aggression then we get Cena vs Angle as Cena’s debut WWE match back in 2002 was against Kurt.
It’ll be a nice way for Angle to end his career and give Cena the rub.
Prediction – Kurt Angle Wins Against Corbin, Cena Beats Angle

Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre
In the battle of the wettest hair and this match is a decent top tier showdown for a returning Reigns as McIntyre has been a great heel to beat up.
This will be a hard-hitting match, but I can’t see lasting long with THE BIG DOG getting the win and a big pop.
Prediction – Roman Reigns Win

Universal Championship – Brock Lesnar (c) vs Seth Rollins
The unlikelihood of this title match of being the main event of the halfway point is 100% but I think it should be as the other two big title matches have better stories then this one.
That said, I am enjoying the narrative of AJ couldn’t do it, Bryan couldn’t do it, Finn couldn’t do it but Rollins is the “small guy” to finally beat the beast and Brock as shown against these smaller wrestlers that he can put on a decent match.
I do think Seth will get some help from his SHIELD brothers Reigns and a surprise appearance from Dean Ambrose to get him over the line and become the new champion.
Prediction – Seth Rollins Wins Becoming The New Universal Champion

AJ Styles vs Randy Orton
In a short time, this match has been one I’m excited to see and could be the surprise match of the night.
You know we’re going to get a Phoenominal Forearm into an RKO is a repeat of the Curbstomp into an RKO back in Wrestlemania 31 and it’s going to be glorious.
This is simply two veterans going at each other, the indie guy vs Mr WWE.
Winner – Randy Orton Wins

Intercontinental Championship – Bobby Lashley (c) vs Finn Balor
Both men have had brief runs with the IC title and that needs to change and hopefully, that’ll happen at Mania.
I can’t truly say I’m excited about this match as the only thing I’m interested in is the return of the Demon but there hasn’t been a decent build-up to it.
If Balor loses then they can’t use the Demon ever again and because of that, I can see the Irishman winning the midcard title once again and ending this feud once and for all.
Winner – Finn Balor Wins Become The New Intercontinental Champion

Triple H vs Batista (No Holds Barred, Triple H’s Career On The Line)
This should be a fun match with some great entrances but the wrestling will be interesting.
Batista hasn’t wrestled since Wrestlemania 30 and Triple H is coming back from injury, which is why I wonder they it a no holds barred match to hide things.
I don’t see any good from Triple H winning, which is why I’m going with Batista as he can have that going forward as the man who retired The Game and as we know about WWE retiring from wrestling doesn’t mean forever.* Cough* Shawn Michaels cough
Prediction – Batista Wins

Raw Tag Team Championship – The Revival (c) vs Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins
The Raw tag champs didn’t have a much until yesterday (Thursday 4th April) and so this is clearly something WWE has just thrown together thanks to that little moment at this week’s go-home Raw.
I can see this match being the final WWE match for either of these teams because Ryder is best friends with AEW president Cory Rhodes and The Revival have been rightly pissed off by the way they a tag wrestling has been handled with this match the perfect example.
As this match is here on the card so the audience at the MetLife can use this time to go to the toilet, get food and drinks before the two biggest matches on the card.
Prediction – The Revival Wins Retaining The Raw Tag Team Championship

WWE Championship – Daniel Bryan (c) vs Kofi Kingston
This match should be the penultimate match on the card as it’s the best men led storyline on the main roster and the second best overall.
Bryan has been nothing short of incredible and the best character he’s ever been. While Kofi hasn’t been better and deserves to win the title as it’ll be a historic moment in WWE history.
This could be the match of the night and when Kofi wins it’ll blow everyone’s mind in New York and the crowd will get more hype going into the main event.
However, I can see this and the Universal title match swapping places.
Prediction – Kofi Kingston Wins The WWE Championship

Winner Takes All – Ronda Rousey (c) vs Charlotte Flair (c) vs Becky Lynch
Now we come to the main event, Joan Jett will be playing Ronda Rousey into the ring and rumour is Charlotte has an impressive entrance and Lynch (with the massive Irish contingent in NY) will be led out by bagpipes and Irish drums.
All three women will put on the best match of their careers and when we all thought this feud was losing steam, they got it burning again thanks to a fantastic segment on Monday’s go-home Raw.
Because it’s a triple threat, that means no DQ, and I can see after getting so pissed off by Charlotte and Becky for what they’ve done in the past.
Ronda has some help from her fellow Horsewomen Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir to beat up Flair and Lynch. Only for Sasha Banks and Bayley to run down and help out their Four Horsewomen and then we get that first Four Horsewomen of MMA and Four Horsewomen of NXT standoff.
This should be near the end with Ronda on the outside Becky either pins or submits Charlotte and Becky leaves NY as both Raw and SmackDown Women’s champion.
We then get all four Horsewomen of NXT closing the show, Becky with her titles, Sasha and Bayley with their belts and Charlotte showing the four sign to the buzz of the crowd and the show ends similar to the first ever NXT Takeover: Brooklyn.
Prediction – Becky Lynch Wins Becoming The New Raw & SmackDown Women’s Champion
