We knew Christopher Nolan was coming back with a new project that was starring John David Washington, new Batman Robert Pattinson and Elizabeth Debicki.
Now we know exactly what’s happening as filming has officially begun for the Warner Bros feature, Tenet.
Tenet is described as “a principle or belief, especially one of the main principles of religion or philosophy” and even with this description I still have no idea what it means. I only know this is the most Nolan thing ever.

What’s so incredibly fucking exciting about this film is that it’s being described as “an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.”
THIS IS AN CHRISTOPHER NOLAN SPY MOVIE!!! HOLY SHIT!!!
The official press release also states this filmed across several locations around the world.
The main reason of the excitement is because not only is it Nolan, that it’ll be mixing IMAX and 70mm film, the cast (more on that in a second) and it’s a spy film. It’s because this is an idea of what this incredible filmmaker would do if he ever got his hands on James Bond.
Speaking of which, 2020 is set to be the year of the spy with Bond 25, 355, Gunpower Milkshake and now this. The genre is going to have a fantastic year.
The looks unbelievable as joining Washington, Pattinson and Debicki are Bollywood legend Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson (who’s fantastic in Outlaw King), Clémence Poséy (best known for her role as Fleur in the Harry Potter films). As well as British acting royalty Kenneth Branagh and you can’t have a Nolan film without Michael Caine.

Hoyte van Hoytema is returning as cinematographer having previously worked with the British director on Interstellar and Dunkirk. Sadly we won’t be getting an iconic Hans Zimmer score as he’ll be busy with Dune and Wonder Woman 1984.
However, Ludwig Göransson will be scoring the film following his recent success winning an Oscar for his work on Black Panther and is currently working on the Star Wars Disney+ show The Mandalorian.
Tenet is going to dominate the summer box office next year as it’s slated for a July 17 release and I don’t see for one minute WB moving from that date.
As you can tell I’m so incredibly hyped for this film and will already be in my top 3 films to see in 2020.
