Richard Madden can say goodbye to being the next James Bond or in the running to becoming Batman as he’s in talks to join Marvel’s The Eternals.
According to The Wrap, the Game of Thrones and Bodyguard star’s role is being kept under wraps, but should he join will star opposite Angelina Jolie and Kumail Nanjiani.
The story is set to focus on the female Eternal known as Sersi, which is the role Jolie is going to play.
The film will be directed by The Rider filmmaker Chloe Zhao with a script written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo.
As stated above the chances of the Scottish actor to be the next 007 or star in Matt Reeves’ Batman have taken a massive dip or likely taken him out of the running altogether, which is fine by me.
Even though he’s a decent actor, I never once saw him as a potential future Bond and was never a candidate to be the Dark Knight. However, getting a role in a Marvel film and one that’s going to be starring Jolie will do great things for his career.
