Now Avengers: Endgame is out and ripping the weekend box office with a US record of $350 million and $1.2 billion worldwide. It’s time to look into the future and what we could possibly see happen in the new era of the MCU.
We know Shang-Chi and The Eternals are on their way, but I’m going to focus solely on the events of the closing Avengers chapter.
OBVIOUSLY, SPOILERS OF ALL KINDS BELOW!!!!! Here are some dog gifs.
HERE COME THE SPOILERS!!!!
Black Widow

Black Widow is likely to be the first film to be released post Endgame and the Spider-Man: Far From Home closing the Phase 3 chapter.
We now know this film will indeed be a prequel following Natasha Romanoff killing herself in Endgame.
Where in the timeline will be interesting, but it could be likely that we’ll see Black Widow before we first get introduced to her in Iron Man 2.
Black Widow is to star Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, David Harbour and Rachel Weisz and shooting is set to begin in June and will be directed by Cate Shortland.
Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3

James Gunn is back to close off his trilogy of Guardian movies and with the end of Endgame as some possible idea, it looks like the Guardians along with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Nebula (Karen Gillian) will be in search of her sister Gamora?
Depending on if the time-travel stuff is right or like Black Widow is truly gone?
This will have to be something Gunn will have to state in the film because it’s a bit confusing.
There’s also a question of Thor and if he’s apart of the new adventure or if he’ll conveniently before an Asgardian god’s gap year.
Valkyrie

Before Endgame was released Tessa Thompson has discussed the possibility of a Thor 4 with Taika Waititi, but now what if it’s actually going to be a solo Valkyrie movie?
Valkyrie has been established as the new king of New Asgard (either in Norway or Scotland) and its small fishing settlement.
We could see her joined by fan favourite sidekicks Korg (voiced by Watiti) and Miek as she comes to grips with her new role as ruler and protector.
Captain Marvel 2

With the beauty of setting the original film in the 90s, they can continue Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) adventures in space and protecting planets as it could be set years after the original Captain Marvel but also a couple of years before Endgame.
It could be the perfect way before bringing Danvers back for her trilogy as our hero is in the present MCU timeline.
Black Panther 2

I would like to see what happened in Wakanda in the five years Okoye was left in the country following the snap because she only had six minutes of screentime in Endgame and it was shocking how badly she was handled.
This film could be the perfect opportunity to introduce Namor as the film’s villain as it could be a battle of two kings before becoming friendly with each other and could be a helping hand in a future Avengers film.
Ant-Man & The Wasp 2

While I hate the Ant-Man & The Wasp but enjoyed Paul Rudd’s performance in Endgame, this will surely be the final Ant-Man film and now with an adult Cassie Lang it’ll likely be heavily involved.
Scott Lang will be joined by Hope Pym’s Wasp and his daughter, who’ll likely become Stinger. This film could be the closest thing we get to a live action Incredibles film.
New Avengers

Tony’s dead, Steve’s old, Thor’s on his gap year and Hawkeye will be retired on his family being with his family.
It leaves the door open for a new leader and while I’m sure people will expect Larson’s Captain Marvel will be the leader of the Avengers, in fact, the better chance that T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) will take that mantle.
Nothing against Captain Marvel, it’s just that she’ll be forcing on keeping space and other planets safe.
Both these characters will be the forefront of any future Avengers film and they’ll be joined by Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Wasp, Scarlet Witch, Valkyrie and Winter Solider.
It could also be the first time we see Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackle) becoming Captain America and we could see a cameo from now on from Mark Ruffalo’s Professor Hulk.
