How To Unveil Tottenham Hotspur’s 2024/25 Away & Third Kit

Tottenham Hotspur unveiled their brand new home shirt for the upcoming 2024/25 season last week and overall it was a success.

The shirt itself looked better in action than in the leaked images, maybe because our club is full of players who could also be models. Meanwhile, the video itself was brilliantly done, with Gavin and Stacey star Matthew Horne front and centre alongside his co-star.

The announcement video also had some nice touches, including showing respect to former player and manager Terry Venables. I liked how Horne said, “Squads” as we continue this one-club mentality.

However, after watching this video it got me thinking about how Tottenham could unveil their 24/25 away and third shirts for the new season.

I think I’ve found a way to kill two birds with one stone.

The first job is to back a truck of money onto Tom Holland’s driveway, as his involvement alone will sell out the jersey and, in turn, pay for the ad. The fact that he will be in London until the start of August is an opportunity you can’t miss out on. He’s one of Hollywood’s biggest young actors to help promote the shirt and club he supports to his 65.5 million Instagram followers, which is nearly four times bigger than Spurs.

Also, his friendship with James Maddison, having recently played at the midfielder’s charity golf tournament, and Son Heung-min will be beneficial in trying to create something.

It’d be a night shoot, as that’s the only time that would fit into the Spider-Man star’s schedule. It’d also add a vibe I want to give as I feel both shirts might look better under the floodlights.

My idea is similar to the 2002 Nike Advert that still lives in the memory of a lot of football fans because it was truly iconic. It was the reason why Elvis (with a little bit of help from film composter Junkie XL) was number one for four weeks in the UK charts.

Have fellow Spurs fans, rapper AJ Tracey and Radio 1’s Jess Iszatt perform a remix of a popular 90s song in front of the Ledley King mural.

Shot inside Tottenham’s Hotspur Way Training Ground in their ETFE Covered Pitch. It’ll be a safe, quiet and controlled way of getting everything done in one night.

In the new away shirt, Holland is welcomed into a 1v1 against Sonny, wearing the third jersey, before it grows with more and more players getting involved, like Maddison, Micky Van de Ven, Beth England, Christian Romero, Jessica Naz, etc. I’d have the video highlighting our talented women and academy stars.

Stick the Premier League 2 trophy somewhere in the background as an easter egg and have Becky Spencer in goal with Charli Grant, Mickey Moore and Tyrese Hall joining Holland’s team.

Other youth players involved would be Jamie Donley, Will Lankshear, Yago Santiago, Dane Scarlett and George Abbott. Whilst, Matilda Vinberg, Kit Graham, Molly Bartrip, Celin Bizet, Martha Thomas and Olga Ahtinen would be the featured faces from the women’s side.

I should add the men involved would be Richarlison, Radu Drǎgușin, Yves Bissoma, Guglielmo Vicario, Brennan Johnson, Pedro Porro, Pape Matar Sarr and Destiny Udogie, if he’s fit. Otherwise, it’s safer to put in either Dejan Kulusevski or Rodrigo Bentancur.

Similar to the nods to Venables and Peter Crouch, I’d have club legends King, Jermain Defoe and Jenna Schillaci watching them play the “Spurs way”.

Not only would it be a kit launch, but if transfers are done early, I’d have it end with Grace Clinton asking, “Can we join?” confirming that the England international has joined the club on a permanent deal and being flanked by two Swedes, Amanda Nilden and Lucas Bergvall, among other hopeful completed deals.
