The release of Cold Pursuit on the big screen earlier in the year was ruined by Liam Neeson’s comments about a racist revenge attack.
It’s a shame because I had a good time seeing it at a press screening and the comments didn’t affect my feelings when writing my original review. However, now it would be interesting four months later is how I felt in line with the film’s home entertainment release.

What Is Cold Pursuit About?
Following the death of his son, Nels Coxman (Neeson) is fuelled by revenge to find the men and murder them leading to drug lord Viking (Bateman). Meanwhile, his action triggers a turf war between Viking and Native-American mafia boss and long-standing rival White Bull (Jackson).

Is It Any Good?
You know what, even though Northern Irishman Neeson has done A LOT of these revenge, action movies, this is a mental but highly enjoyable movie.
The basic character work of a man you felt sympathy for him as the rage inside to find those responsible and get payback.
While there is some dark and bloody action scene. The use of comedy really helps and works fantastically and helps relax you and enjoy this with a massive grin on your face.

This is a perfect film to watch on a weekend evening with a takeaway and have fun.
Bateman’s vicious and equally comedic Viking as a lot of similarities to Neeson’s Coxman, even if he’s a bit mental.
Anything Bad About This Film?
No. Not really. On the other hand, it’s nothing groundbreaking.
So I wouldn’t buy this film until it’s on sale or wait for a couple of months when it comes to Amazon Prime.
Are There Any Bonus Features?
I love bonus features and thankfully this film as them.
It includes deleted scenes, interviews with Neeson and film’s director Moland and a Welcome To Kehoe featurette.
Verdict
A complete joy of a movie with Neeson killing people in highly entertaining ways and the best of this Northern Irishman killing people movies.
